What’s World AI Week? 

World AI Week is a week-long global celebration and gathering of the AI community, held in Amsterdam with both in-person and online participation. It is a decentralised, open platform where anyone, from startups and tech giants to academic institutions and investors, can organise or attend events showcasing the latest in AI innovation, research, entrepreneurship, policies, and ethics.

Through over 100 affiliated events during the week, World AI Week highlights how AI is transforming business, science, and society while fostering collaboration and new partnerships across the global AI ecosystem.

When and where is World AI Week?

World AI Week 2026 runs from Monday, October 5th, through Friday, October 9th. The majority of events will take place in person in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with many also accessible via hybrid or fully virtual formats to engage the global AI community.

Is World AI Week in search of speakers?

No, World AI Week itself is not a call for speakers. Instead, it is an umbrella platform that invites members of the AI community to host their own events during the week, which best suit their interests and audiences.

The best way to participate in World AI Week Amsterdam is to host your own event! Hosting an event during the week of October 5-9, 2026, is an excellent opportunity to gain brand exposure and directly connect with the vibrant global AI ecosystem gathered in Amsterdam. We will list all approved events on the official World AI Week calendar and help drive attendance to maximise your event’s impact.

Who can host an event?

Anyone engaged in the AI ecosystem can host an event, whether you are a large tech company, an innovative startup, an academic institution, an investor, a community organisation, or an individual AI enthusiast. World AI Week is truly for everyone passionate about AI.

How do I apply my event to be part of World AI Week?

To host an event, you simply fill out the form Run your own event, and a team member will contact you shortly.

Important: World AI Week is not a call for speakers. Rather, it’s a platform for anyone to organise and host their own events during the official week.

What am I responsible for as a host?

Each event host is responsible for all logistics, including:

  • Securing and managing the venue (if applicable)
  • Budgeting and marketing your event
  • Curating content and speakers
  • Ensuring a great attendee experience
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

World AI Week provides the platform and promotional support but does not manage individual events. However, if you need assistance with logistics, planning, registration or any aspect of organising your event, please don’t hesitate to reach out – we’re here to help.
